Jim founded e-Rainmaker Public Relations, an independent boutique public relations consulting practice, and is responsible for all new business development, client relations and account management. Jim has built an outstanding reputation for executing highly successful PR programs for established corporations and early-stage breakthrough technology start-ups.

Jim is a recipient of the 2011 Bulldog Reporter Stars of PR Media Relations Professional of the Year Award for MANDIANT Buzz | Responsible Media Relations for the Information Security Industry and was spotlighted in the Bulldog Reporter’s Stars of PR Media Relations Hall of Fame magazine. This coveted national industry award recognizes excellence in media relations and is awarded to PR professionals based on their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, command of media and technology, and tenacity.

Prior to e-Rainmaker, Jim served as a senior account executive in the Corporate Reputation Management practice at Edelman Public Relations in Chicago. Before Edelman, Jim spent three years as a Senior Communications Specialist and Regional Spokesman for Mellon (now Bank of New York Mellon) in Philadelphia, as primary spokesman for Mellon in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey market. Jim generated favorable national and financial services industry coverage, compiled, edited and distributed a daily company newsletter to all 3,500 employees in the region, wrote senior executive speeches and dinner scripts, coordinated press conferences and led communications on branch consolidation and reorganization.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. Current and past membership affiliations include: Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), PRSA’s Chicago and Suburban Chicago Chapters, the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the Computer Security Institute (CSI). He resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with his family, including an English bulldog Winston.

Zenobia “Zen” Yinger is an independent PR, marketing and social media consultant and an e-Rainmaker associate with more than two decades of frontline experience in traditional and social media relations, public relations strategy planning and development, copywriting and creative content development, brand building, resource management, policies and procedures development, crisis Management and corporate social responsibility planning.

Zen has held corporate communications leadership positions with industry icons Whirlpool Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Aptech Ltd., MTV-INDIA, Apple Industries Ltd. and Zensar Technologies Inc. She also consults in the areas of MARCOM with B2B tech clients.

Zen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She also earned a diploma in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations from the K.C. College of Management Studies, and a certification in Human Resource Management from Duke University.

Her current and past affiliations include Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

She enjoys living under the sunny, blue Carolina skies with her family and their practically perfect poodle, Bella.
